ChainMemory Protocol · Last updated: May 5, 2026

This policy describes how the ChainMemory protocol and the ChainMemory browser extension handle your information. The project is privacy-first by design.

1. Privacy by design

The full content of an AI conversation or memory is never published on the blockchain. Only the following data is anchored on-chain:

Anyone can verify a memory exists and was not altered using Merkle proofs, without seeing its content.

2. What the browser extension processes

3. What we do not collect

4. Permissions explained

5. Third parties

The extension and the protocol communicate only with api.chainmemory.ai and the ChainMemory blockchain (Chain ID 202604). No data is sent to advertising networks, analytics providers, or any other third party.

6. Data retention and deletion

Important: Because blockchain records are immutable, please consider carefully which content you save. Never save sensitive personal data (passwords, financial details, medical records, etc.) using ChainMemory.

7. Children's privacy

ChainMemory is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be announced on chainmemory.ai.
